A Frothy Drupal Meetup!

Group photo in the webshapers office with all attendees of the MeetUp

Orange flags in front of the webshapers office on Wiener Straße? That can only mean two things:

1. The brave webshapers are going into battle?
2. Or they're once again hosting a MeetUp with their Drupal friends.

Fortunately, it was the latter last week, and we had the pleasure of welcoming our friends from the Drupal Austria community to our office.

Sufficient sandwiches? - Thomas - CEO webshapers - fears losing face in the community

Great! We finally had a reason to take out our Drupal shirts from the closet and breathe some life into the office. The otherwise dull display case at the webshapers bar was filled with sandwiches (from Köstlbauer) and the whiteboard was flipped back to proudly display "Welcome Drupal Austria" from last year's MeetUp. The gloomy faces of our employees turned into smiles, and the frustrated complaints were replaced by joyful party music.

Just in time! At 6:00 PM, the drunomics team, Jeremy and Sindhuri, entered the room, closely followed by the elite squad from W1: Tom, Claudia, and David. And when Matthias, Günther, Oliver, and Michael also joined the office, CEO Thomas had reasons to worry: Where is Rosi's Drupal shirt? And are there enough sandwiches for everyone???

But as usual, fate was on the side of webshapers, and excessive sandwich consumption, as well as some of the expected guests (we are looking at you, acolono), didn't happen. There was a sigh of relief:

In total, 11 Drupalistas visited us to chat about the upcoming DrupalDevDays. These will already start in July, and there was much to discuss: ticket sales, social media, and other organizational matters were on the agenda.

Following that, as is customary at every Drupal MeetUp, there was a short talk. David from W1 took the opportunity to give us a brief insight into the latest developments at W1 and how they are attempting to integrate Chat-GPT into Drupal. Very exciting!

All in all, it was a fantastic MeetUp with a great atmosphere and wonderful people!

We hope to see you at the Drupal Dev Days Vienna in July!
